Welcome!

This blog, entitled The Petite Muse is my personal project. This is where I collect some of my works from the past and present, particularly portfolios, essays, paintings, drawings, designs, photographs, and everyday adventures. Some occasional essays about psychology, lifestyle, book reviews and literature can also be found here. I consider this blog as a work-in-progress, a preparation for a bigger project..

About the Author

My name is Maica. I graduated with a degree in Psychology and currently working as a librarian. During my spare time, I write essays, make drawings and paintings, and take photos with my camera, a Canon Eos Rebel T3 named Hanna.

I live in Angeles City, Philippines.  I love to study and read books, especially Islamic Books (I grew up reading and collecting them and probably, I'll grow old still reading them), travel places, nature and flowers, heartfelt laughter, take photos of pretty things, dream, imagine, think, and conceptualize. I like to spend my time in quietness. I also like coffee and tea, gourmet food, fruits, and make vegetable salads and desserts.  

I run an Islamic Blog as well, A Garden of Islam.

God willing, I plan to write a book, have a simple house and an art gallery, and travel around the world.

I love to meet people and listen to them, to explore and study what I don't know and to widen my understanding.
